| CSA stands for Community (or Consumer) Supported Agriculture. CSA’s were conceived to build communities of consumers around individual farms and gardens. Consumers agree to pay a true cost for their food and share the risk of nature’s uncertainty. Freed from harsh, conventional market pressures, the farmer or gardener works the land in a renewable, fertility-creating manner and grows abundantly healthy food for their members.
We raise organic (biodynamic) vegetables and berries, beef, eggs and poultry for the 80+ share holders in our CSA. Once a week from mid-June through mid-October, we deliver a box containing an array of fresh-picked, biodynamically grown vegetables and herbs. During raspberry season, we deliver a basket of berries. In 2006, farm-raised eggs will be included every other week. Honey from the CSA bee hives is also distributed to the members. | |||||
